Choral Holidays

If Holiday Choral?

Singing Holidays are not really holidays coral. Not that there's nothing wrong with the idea of a week's holiday away from coral, in fact I think it's a great thing and I'm sure many of you have experienced the thrill of singing in a large group in a wonderful place and that great feeling when a spot of Handel bounces off the walls often crowded a large church. However, to regard as Choral Holidays accommodation would misinterpret what we are trying to accomplish during a stay of 7 days at this wonderfully tranquil, unusual track, a rural area of Italy.

If the client wants to sing in some spectacular places in a week's stay and do a song often sung choral music, but our main objective focuses on singing, singing with confidence, better singing and discover tools that can be carried and used beyond the holiday experience for further development and enjoyment.

I think if I'm honest, when Temi and I first thought the idea of Singing Holidays in Italy do not delve too much on the entire benefit behind small groups, yoga, individual attention (both are fools for details), the establishment of inspiration, the clean air and the dry, often organic prisoners.

We just start all over because it was a merger of our abilities and combine things in life that really loved. It also meant that we could use our own environment and introduce people to an area of Italy that was so incredibly inspiring and untouched that their intrinsic qualities would be an important part of singing experience accommodation.

It was only through Singing weeks to accommodation that we have discovered the key advantages of having small groups and always be in places that were a source of inspiration, as much as possible away from the hustle and bustle of tourism. I remember playing in the streets with Temi in Strasbourg 10 years or so ago, and after having done well in the main square opposite the cathedral, an old Jewish American woman approached us and said in a voice that could cut steel, "Would you like to Strasbourg?" "Yes, very beautiful people ..." I answered, looking at my hat coins, "It's a tourist trap!" Cried! It was very frightening. She was very good too!

"Tourist traps" to avoid as far as possible or visit us at a time when tourists are much fewer in number. Real Italy and the Italian meeting truly warm and welcoming without being exhausted by the masses is what we love. Eating foods that the locals eat and drink cappuccino in bars full of Italian is wonderful and certainly what this is all about!

When we are in a small group like we are in a holiday sing, we can reach places inaccessible and impractical for a larger group. Whether it is completed in Norcia Benedictine monks or impromptu visit and sing in a cathedral as spectacular as Spoleto, or even a visit to a remote hermitage. None of these special moments that would be possible with a coach load of large numbers of people on vacation coral.
For us it is coral holidays for large groups and movements in broad strokes where as Singing accommodation is more about individual needs, small group singing, friendship, family run accommodation, the opportunity to work together with best drivers in a safe and friendly environment. Singing accommodation is not mass production and is not just a week away in the sun (although, of course, is almost always sunny and beautiful!).

* Is it a holiday? Yes, definitely.
* Is it a singing course? Yes it is.
* Can I just be one of the many? Never
* Is it like other holidays coral? No, it is not.

Always hoped that a week Canto accommodation offered an inspiring experience, we wanted to deliver more than expected. The bank is not the incredible friendships that have transcended the weeks running and I really think this is part of the small group environment and the amazing power of singing and making music together in an inspiring environment.
