4 Bahamian Islands to Consider

The Bahamas is the ideal choice for anyone planning weddings in the Caribbean, but if you have chosen as your island paradise for a wedding in the sun, the island - or islands - you visit? There are 16 main islands in the Bahamas, so it's no easy decision. Here is a selection of four of the best, all unique in their own way, to help you make your mind up.

1. The Abacus

The Abacus is a collection of small islands in the northern Bahamas. They are the most popular after Nassau / Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island in a quiet and good business. 2. Andros

Andros is an island that will truly be able to escape from civilization, so if that's what you're looking for when you are thinking about weddings in the Caribbean, then this is an island, you might want to think. In fact, it is the largest island in the Bahamas so it will be able to find plenty of places to escape to!

You can enjoy excellent diving, especially in its most famous holes blue interior, numerous local artisans to find or buy, such as fabric Androsia and straw baskets, and is also a fantastic destination for bonefishing - one of the most exciting types of fishing available.
 
3. San Salvador

San Salvador is one of the most popular in the southern islands of the Bahamas, so anyone planning weddings in the Caribbean can consider this little gem. Sights to see how Columbus monument marking the spot where Christopher Columbus is said to have landed, Farquharson plantations, where the famous pirate Blackbeard is thought to have spent some time, and still working Dixon Hill Lighthouse. San Salvador is also a great favorite among scuba divers looking for a challenge and reef diving accident sites.

4. Bimini

Bimini is one of the lesser known islands of the Bahamas, but for people looking for something different for weddings in the Caribbean, then this could be your island paradise. It is the closest island to the U.S., and here you will find an excellent game fishing, diving, sunset, some amazing sea creatures, including rare sawfish. Unfortunately a fire destroyed the Compleat Angler Hotel Bar and Museum where Ernest Hemingway spent time in the 1930 written Islands in the Stream and To Have and Have Not.
